The Graffiti Eaters was founded in 1977 — making us Australia’s original graffiti removal company. In an era when graffiti removal wasn’t even recognised as a specialist trade, our founder understood that removing graffiti from brick, stone, concrete, and other surfaces required a scientific approach, the right chemistry, and purpose-built equipment. That philosophy hasn’t changed.

Over the following decades we developed our own proprietary cleaning formulations, built our own purpose-built surface restoration vehicles, trained our own technicians through our in-house ‘University of Graffitiology’ program, and became the first company in our industry to achieve ISO certification — back in 1995.

The Stain Eaters followed as a natural extension of our expertise — applying the same rigorous, specialist approach to hard surface cleaning, pressure washing, stain removal, and protective surface treatments.

The Graffiti Eaters specialise in graffiti removal, anti-graffiti coatings, and surface restoration — working across every surface type, every industry, and every corner of the country. From a tagged fence on a residential property to a graffiti-covered train carriage or a heritage sandstone building, our technicians have the knowledge, equipment, and formulations to restore any surface properly.

The Stain Eaters specialise in pressure washing, hard surface cleaning, stain removal, and protective surface treatments — covering everything from car park and driveway cleaning through to oil and rust stain removal, factory floor coatings, concrete sealing, and non-slip treatments.

Both divisions operate to the same ISO-audited standards, carry the same $20 million public liability insurance, and are staffed by trained, vetted technicians who take the same disciplined approach to every job.

Every job begins with a thorough assessment of the surface and the problem in front of us. We test before we treat. We select the right formulation for the specific surface and substance involved. We take the time to do it properly — because the consequences of getting it wrong, whether that’s damaged brickwork, scarred render, or a stained concrete panel, are always more expensive than taking the right approach from the start.

Approximately 20% of our work involves repairing damage caused by other operators who used the wrong technique, the wrong cleaning solution, or the wrong equipment. That’s a problem we’ve spent nearly 50 years trying to eliminate — by setting the standard for how this work should be done.

Every Surface Restoration Technician completes our 12-month ‘University of Graffitiology’ training program before working independently on client sites. We also employ qualified mechanical engineers who study the science of surface deposit removal to ensure our technology and formulations remain at the leading edge of the industry.

Our equipment is purpose-built for the work.

Our surface restoration vehicles are custom-built and fully self-contained — carrying specialist cleaning formulations, hot water high-pressure cleaning systems, wastewater recovery equipment, and traffic management gear. We don’t operate out of a ute with a pressure washer. We never have.

We operate to internationally audited standards.

We hold certification across four ISO management standards — Quality (ISO 9001), OH&S (ISO 45001), Environmental Management (ISO 14001), and Risk Management (ISO 31000) — all independently audited by third-party auditors to ensure consistent delivery. We were the first company in our industry to achieve ISO certification, and we’ve maintained it ever since.

We work with a wide range of clients across Australia — from major national retailers, banks, and transport operators through to local councils, body corporates, schools, and private property owners.

Long-term clients include 7-Eleven, Kmart, KFC, Commonwealth Bank, Westpac, and Bendigo Bank — organisations that rely on consistent, professional service across multiple locations nationally.

We also work in conjunction with police to provide photographic evidence of graffiti incidents, supporting the identification and prosecution of vandals.
