Pressure Cleaning and Hot Water Pressure Washing

Pressure cleaning is one of the most effective tools for restoring hard surfaces — removing built-up dirt, grime, mould, oil staining, and biological growth that ordinary cleaning can’t shift. But it’s also one of the most commonly misused. The wrong pressure, temperature, or technique on a masonry surface can cause scarring, cracking, and structural damage that is expensive to repair.

Our technicians are trained specialists who assess every job before work begins, carefully matching pressure and temperature to the surface being treated.

Cold Water vs Hot Water Pressure Washing — What’s the Difference?

Not all pressure cleaning is the same, and not all stains respond to cold water alone.

Cold water pressure washing uses high-pressure water to physically remove surface dirt, loose grime, and general soiling. It’s effective for routine cleaning of robust surfaces where the soiling is on the surface rather than embedded within it.

Hot water pressure washing adds heat to the equation — and heat changes everything. Hot water dramatically improves the breakdown of tough, bonded contaminants that cold water can’t effectively shift on its own. Our surface restoration vehicles are equipped with onboard boiler units that heat water to above 90°C, delivering superior results on the most demanding cleaning challenges.

Hot water is particularly effective for:

  • Oil, grease, and fuel stains on concrete and asphalt
  • Chewing gum removal
  • Ingrained grime on high-traffic surfaces
  • Mould and algae — killed at the source rather than just displaced
  • Food court and bin enclosure cleaning
  • Workshop and factory floor cleaning
  • Any surface where cold water pressure washing has been tried and fallen short

Our Equipment — Purpose-Built for the Job

Our surface restoration vehicles are custom-built and fully self-contained — arriving on site with everything needed to complete the job without relying on your facilities.

of onboard water · 3,000 psi pressure pumps · Onboard boiler units to above 90°C · Wastewater recovery systems · Full OH&S and traffic management equipment

Our self-sufficiency means we can operate anywhere, complete jobs faster, and save up to 45% of billable time compared to operators using undersized equipment — which directly reduces your cost.

Why Getting It Wrong Is Costly

Pressure cleaning is an unregulated service — anyone can buy equipment and offer it commercially. This means the quality and safety of service varies enormously, and we regularly attend sites to repair damage caused by operators using incorrect pressure, incorrect technique, or inadequate equipment.

Masonry surfaces — concrete, brick, render — are more susceptible to damage than they appear. Excessive water pressure erodes the surface, opens up pores, damages mortar joints, and can introduce moisture problems that cause long-term structural issues. The repair bill in these situations far exceeds the cost of using a qualified specialist from the start.

Surfaces We Pressure Clean

  • Driveways and paving
  • Car parks
  • Sports courts
  • Artificial grass
  • Concrete and rendered walls
  • Brickwork and stone
  • Retaining walls
  • Timber fencing and decking
  • Tiles and cladding
  • Factory floors and skylights
  • Shade sails

Stains and Soiling We Remove

  • Dirt and dust
  • Mould, moss, and algae
  • Oil and fuel stains
  • Grease
  • Chewing gum
  • Rust stains
  • Tyre marks
  • Bird fouling
  • Soot and smoke marks
  • Cobwebs
  • Pollution and exhaust staining

Where standard pressure washing needs support, we can apply specialist cleaning formulations to assist in breaking down stubborn stains before pressure washing — ensuring thorough removal without abrasion or environmental harm.

What to Expect on Every Job

  • On-site assessment before work begins — pressure and temperature matched to the surface
  • Hot or cold water selected based on the staining and surface type
  • Waste water is captured as required — no runoff into stormwater drains
  • Traffic and pedestrian management arranged where required
  • Risk report provided before work begins
  • $20 million public liability insurance on every job
  • ISO-audited operations — Quality (ISO 9001), OH&S (ISO 45001), Environmental (ISO 14001)

Protect Your Surface After Cleaning

Once your surface is restored, it’s worth considering a protective sealer or coating to maintain the result and reduce the effort required to keep it clean going forward. The right sealer creates a barrier that prevents staining from penetrating the surface — making future cleaning faster, easier, and less frequent.

Our team can assess your surface after cleaning and recommend the most appropriate protective treatment for your specific situation.
