Clear and Invisible Anti-Graffiti Coatings
Complete graffiti protection with absolutely no visible change to your building’s appearance — not even a sheen.
For property owners and managers who want effective graffiti protection but can’t accept any alteration to the appearance of their building, the Graffiti Eaters Invisible coating range is the answer.
Developed in-house by The Graffiti Eaters, this is a genuinely new generation of anti-graffiti protection — so discreet that even our own trained technicians can have difficulty identifying where it has been applied, and have to rely on our site database to confirm application areas.

How Invisible Coatings Work
Masonry surfaces like brick, concrete, sandstone, and bluestone are highly porous — without protection, spray paint soaks deep into the substrate, making removal more difficult and expensive.
Graffiti Eaters Invisible uses a unique formulation that modifies the surface tension of the masonry, causing graffiti to pool on the surface rather than being absorbed into it.
The graffiti sits on top of the coating where it can be removed efficiently — with no visible film, no sheen, and no change to the natural character of the building.
Two Variants to Suit Different Risk Levels
The Graffiti Eaters Invisible range is available in two variants depending on the frequency of graffiti incidents and the level of ongoing protection required:
Sacrificial Variant
The coating is removed along with the graffiti during each cleaning cycle and reapplied afterwards. Best suited to surfaces that are occasionally targeted and where the lowest possible visible impact is the priority. Coating life of 3 to 4 years, or replace after each cleaning cycle.
Non-Sacrificial Variant
The coating withstands multiple cleaning cycles before reapplication is required — up to 5 cleaning cycles before the coating needs to be replaced. A more cost-effective option for surfaces that are targeted more regularly, offering the same invisible appearance with lower reapplication frequency. Re-coat every 3 years or after 5 cleaning cycles, whichever comes first.
Both variants are available in technical data-sheets for detailed specifications.

Performance That Speaks for Itself
The numbers behind Graffiti Eaters Invisible are compelling:
- Cleaning times reduced by 45% — the coating’s surface tension modification means graffiti removal is significantly faster than on an uncoated or conventionally coated surface
- Cleaning costs reduced by up to 50% — faster removal translates directly into lower labour and operational costs per incident
- In many cases, no cleaning solutions required — depending on the cleaning solution base of the graffiti applied, pressurised water alone may be sufficient for removal, eliminating cleaning solution costs and reducing OH&S and environmental risk on site
- Completely invisible — no sheen, no film, no visible change to the surface whatsoever
Key Properties and Specifications
- Appearance: Completely invisible — no sheen level, no visible film
- Application: Brush, roller, or spray — one coat required
- Cleanup: Water-based — safe to apply in public spaces without specialist equipment or exclusion zones
- Coating life: 3 to 4 years
- Sacrificial variant: Replace coating after each cleaning cycle
- Non-sacrificial variant: Replace after 5 cleaning cycles or every 3 years
- Graffiti removal: Pressurised water — in many cases no cleaning cleaning solutions required
Where Invisible Coatings Are the Right Choice
Invisible coatings are best suited to surfaces and situations where appearance cannot be altered in any way — heritage listed buildings, premium facades, natural stone, and architectural features where any visible coating would be unacceptable. They are also ideal where cleaning solution-free or low-cleaning solution removal is preferred, reducing OH&S and environmental risk during cleaning.
Suitable surfaces:
- Brick including Old Red brick
- Concrete and render
- Natural stone
- Heritage listed buildings and structures

Advantages of Invisible Coatings
- Truly invisible — zero visible change to the surface or building appearance
- Suitable for heritage listed buildings and sensitive architectural surfaces
- Up to 45% reduction in cleaning time per incident
- Up to 50% reduction in cleaning costs
- Chemical-free removal possible in many cases — reducing OH&S and environmental risk
- Water-based formula — safe to apply in public spaces
- Suitable for Old Red brick — unlike long life coatings
- One coat application
Limitations to Be Aware Of
- Coating life of 3 to 4 years — shorter than long life coatings
- Sacrificial variant requires reapplication after each graffiti incident
- Non-sacrificial variant requires reapplication after 5 cleaning cycles
- Graffiti removal requires pressurised water — not a simple spray-and-wipe process like long life coatings
- Best suited to masonry surfaces — not appropriate for all surface types
Professional Application Recommended
Invisible coatings require experienced, approved applicators to ensure correct surface preparation and application technique. Coatings are only covered under warranty when professionally applied. Our team of trained applicators can assess your surface, prepare it correctly, and apply the coating to the standard required for full warranty coverage.
Not Sure What Coating is Right for Your Surface?
If appearance is the primary concern but you’re not sure whether an invisible, sacrificial, or long life coating is the best fit for your specific surface and situation, our team can assess the property and make a recommendation.
