Damage From Property Fire
When a fire occurs in a property, it leaves more behind than black smoke stains.
Carbon deposits are left behind from the smoke and heat which is very high in acidity and will continue to eat away at surfaces, particularly metal.
During a fire, the heat and smoke generated by burning surfaces as part of the combustion process, produce an acid. This bi-product continues to attack surfaces long after the fire has been put out.
Simply cleaning off and removing the physical carbon is not sufficient to neutralise the carbon on a surface.
These areas need to be cleaning solutionly neutralised to ensure the surfaces do not suffer any further damage, or long-term fire smell and corrosion problems.
Our technicians are trained to correctly treat and clean fire damaged areas, so speak to us if you need help cleaning up after a fire.
