Cutek Decking Oils
When the time comes to rejuvenate your timber deck, the choice of decking oil is important, not only for the look and finish of the timber, but also how it performs in regards to nourishing and protecting the wood.
There are a wide range of decking oils, stains and coatings available, so it can be confusing to know what to choose for your decking needs.
While there are many quality products available, one of the best available is the range from CUTEK®.
The CUTEK® range of timber oils gives superior protection of decking timber, while also enhancing the natural beauty and long term nourishment as the oil penetrates deeply into timber allowing it to repel moisture, maintain structural integrity and ensure the longest possible service life.
One of the aspects of this range that sets apart from other timber oils is its self-healing action. Once the oil application process is complete and has fully defused, CUTEK® decking oil will remain permanently mobile in the timber, actively driving out moisture to minimise cupping, warping and splitting, even after being cut or perforated with fasteners.
Traditional decking oils work by forming a protective coating on the surface of the timber, allowing it to protect the wood against moisture damage. Over time, UV rays and timber movement will break down this surface coating, often causing it to flake or peel. This will then allow water to penetrate into the timber which will usually lead to cupping, warping, splitting and potentially wood rot.
CUTEK® timber oils penetrate deep into the core of the timber and drive moisture out of the wood. This helps to give superior long-term protection, keeping the decking timber in good condition for many years.
When you apply this product to timber decking after it has been stripped and prepared using our unique brush sander units, the result is a beautiful looking finish that will protect the timber for many years.
